FEAR NO ART Series

This campaign of pieces are solely for art appreciation. It uses photographs that represent different forms of art, they are then recreated into a 4 color halftone pattern of CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). Each color layer is offset around the black to create the likeness of an atom, which represents the fundamental elements of everything. Below is a video example of the pattern close-up.

FEAR NO ART was first handed out as bumper stickers back in May of 1994 in Lancaster, PA, at a little long-haired multi-media art show called “That There Art”. They still have a store where you can buy the original merch. This is not an original idea of mine. This is me trying to get a modern resurgence of the movement going. Art has started, promoted, and ended wars in history. We have put down and judged the people that are artists, saying that it’s not a real job. We have created sigmas about people that do certain types of art.

As artists, we need to band together and show the world that art is essential for society. It’s essential for it’s growth, diversity, language, and peace between all peoples, no matter what the race, creed, or background they come from.

FEAR NO ART is simply just a reminder to keep your mind open to all things, new things, old things.

If there is an art that you feel that should be represented in this series, contact me. I will do my best to create one that will.
